Warranty Period

In the event of a failure under normal operating conditions within the warranty period, the product shall be replaced with an equivalent.
For more information, refer to the following sections: In the Event of a Failure and Free Product Replacement within Warranty Period.

In the Event of a Failure

The product will be serviced during and after the warranty period as described below:

Main unit and accessories
During warranty period Free replacement (The faulty product will be replaced with a good product.)*1

*1 Free replacement is available only once during the warranty period.
*2 After the warranty period, the product can be repaired or replaced on the spot with a fee.
*3 A product that has undergone spot maintenance will be entitled to a free three-month warranty.

Free Product Replacement within Warranty Period

  • On condition that the collected product is acknowledged as faulty, the whole set including the main unit and accessories shall be replaced with a good set. Environment sensors shall be replaced in pairs (two sensors per set).
  • The warranty (1) shall be submitted when you request for product replacement during the warranty period. In the absence of the warranty, free replacement shall not be available.
  • For both the faulty product and the replacement, the shipping fee shall be paid by the sender.
  • When a product is replaced within the warranty period, Ricoh will recover the whole set including the faulty main unit and accessories. If any accessory is missing, the missing accessory shall be shipped with the Missing Item Shipping Slip and the shipping fee shall be paid by the customer.
  • The product ID may be different before and after the replacement.
  • Even during the warranty period, there shall be a charge in any of the following cases:
  1. The faulty product and its accessories, in whole or in part, have been lost;
  2. The failure or damage is due to misuse, modification, or illegitimate repair;
  3. The failure or damage has been caused after shipping during transportation or due to a fall; and
  4. The failure or damage is due to a fire; a natural disaster such as an earthquake, flood, or lightning; environmental pollution; or an abnormal voltage.

Others

  • Spot maintenance will be available for five years after the product is discontinued.
  • Ricoh’s support for the product, regarding information security and vulnerability, will be provided only within the warranty period. No support will be provided after the warranty period.
  • Ricoh shall not be liable in any way for damage to the customer caused by a failure or defect of the product.
