Layout Engine (option)

The Layout Engine puts each bitmap character images in character strings.
It can also do such as adjusting character and line spacing.
This software is necessary to correctly display languages with complex writing rules (Arabic, Thai, etc.).

When many character sizes are used

In cases where many character sizes are used for reasons such as the need to display characters on a variety of display devices both large and small, scalable fonts take up less data volume than bitmap fonts.
